At first I was so excited to be accepted into the Shaklee 180 Turnaround Plan. Then I became worried. Worried that I would let Shaklee down, let myself down or worse yet, let Gracie down. I don’t want to be a bad example for Gracie. That’s my major reason for asking to join the Shaklee 180 diet plan.
I want to be around for Gracie as she grows up. I don’t want Gracie growing up without me. It’s bad enough that she is having to grow up without her Daddy, she needs her Mom around. I need to get my overeating and eating the wrong things under control. As Gracie watches me go thru this program, I hope she sees that I’m serious about this and that I’m doing this because I love her.
Once I found out the full details on Shaklee 180, I really thought that I would miss eating “real” food. I was a little worried about this too. Let’s just say, I was in a little bit of state of panic at first. I just had too many little worries. I’m kind of a worrier by nature.
I never start anything without fully researching it, so I quickly found out the FREE foods. The foods that I could actually eat and they really not cost me a lot of calories. Pickles, I love pickles! Pickles are a free food, cucumbers, green peppers and mushrooms are my favorite free foods. I could live on just the free foods. Yeah Me, I felt better, one worry gone.
I started out each morning with a smoothie. I either made it with the Shaklee chocolate, vanilla or strawberry shake mix. I mix some sort of fruit along with it. I use almond milk to mix it with, it seems to taste a little better. I also mix in some ice and froth it up some. My favorite right now is vanilla Shaklee, a banana and cinnamon. It’s yummy. Another good one is chocolate Shaklee and cherries. I even have these for lunch too. I don’t feel like I have missed out on ANYTHING by drinking my breakfast or lunch. I don’t miss using a fork or spoon at all and honestly if I mix the chocolate one just right, I use a spoon to eat it.
On days that I sub, I try to take a meal bar with me. The meal bars are delicious! The blueberry and almond bars are my favorite. I also take a snack bar with me. I love their lemon and cranberry snack bars, they have a ZING! Having the meal bars take a lot of pressure of me because all my nutrients are all in these bars and I don’t have to try to pack several different items. I’m honestly filled up after I eat them too. I really haven’t been hungry at all, so that’s another worry gone!
This is day number 21 on Shaklee 180. I started out at 202.2 and I’m down to 196.2. I’ve lost a total of 8 inches. I am very pleased to say the least. The worries are easing and the panic is starting to subside.
