Well, school is out here in Arkansas and the weather is nice. It’s time for kids to be visiting continuously. That is such a blessing to me. At least while they are at my house, I know what they are up to and they are not causing any trouble. They all want to jump in our pool and that is totally fine with me. Just let me do my water exercises in the morning.
Yesterday, we went to a bar-b-que for couple of Gracie’s friends that graduated this year. We are also friends with the parents. I’ve known them for years. We stayed there for a couple of hours and all I heard was giggling from the front room from the kids. Honestly, it wasn’t giggling, it was almost hysterical laughing. I remember when I laughed that hard, but I don’t think I have in years. Maybe I need to, it might perk me up.
Several of those kids are coming over to our house today to go swimming. I made a mad dash to Walmart and bought everything that I thought that they might enjoy. My cart looked like I was on a binge. I bought Little Debbies, Hostess cakes, sugar wafers, cheese puffs and bugles. They will be sugared up by the time they leave here. All children are. I just thought they were laughing hysterically yesterday, today, I just can’t imagine what will happen.
Gracie’s friends dearly love swimming in the pool. It’s the best investment we made when we moved into our new home. We initially had it put in for my arthritis. I do my swimming exercise routine in the morning so Gracie and her friends can have it when it’s warmer. The pool is great exercise. Gracie also has slight arthritis. She’s so young to have to be going through this, but our arthritis is hereditary. Water exercises are best on your joints. We have been told that by our general practitioner and both of our rheumatologists. So, I’m EXTREMELY happy that we have the pool.
We don’t even feel the pressure on our joints while we our moving around in the pool. So, we can do more than we normally could. Let me tell you though, we can feel it the next day. Swimming full body workout? You bet! If I did too much in the pool the day before, I have to wait until the next day to do my exercises. I can get in the pool to cool off, but not to really exercise.
We just bought Gracie’s new swimsuits at Torrid. She LOVES that store and she looks so cute in them. There is no way I would post a picture of her in one of them though. I can wear my swimsuit from two years ago. All of you know that I am I am extremely frugal. I’m not buying one if I don’t need one. Last years swimsuit is too big for me, so I’m going to sell it. I’m NOT gaining any weight back at all.

I went by my DR’s suggestion for swimming exercises and it truly helps my daughter and I out a lot. I also am happy that it brings my daughter and her friends so much joy. It’s just all a part of our crazy life.
