. I’ve not been hungry at all, honestly.I was hungry this week. I would tell you if I had been, well, just like I am now. I’ve mentioned my arthritis on each of my “change of life” posts. I sleep in sweat pants, sometimes those sweats from the 80’s that have the elastic in the bottom of the leg. Sometime during the night I pulled the elastic to up above my knee. I know the hunger had to do with my flare up.
When I woke up, I had the hardest, hardest time opening my hands. They were so swollen. When I did get them open, I barely was able to get my wedding rings off. The elastic on my sweats left a very deep impression on my leg and my socks left an impression you would have just had to see. I was drenched in edema. What a hurdle!
I had to shop for a sleepover. Teen girls don’t want veggies and lean meat. I had an entire counter of candy, chips, cookies, Little Debbies and chocolate ice cream in the freezer. Plus, Pizza! They had pizza. I’ve already been thru the pizza ordeal with Gracie and my uncle. I wasn’t even tempted, not at all. That was a major hurdle.
I went to visit my uncle in a nearby town to help him with something. I was tired (after the sleepover) and running low on energy and I had to stop and get Gracie something to eat. I didn’t order me a thing. That was a major hurdle for me.
