Do you remember Hee Haw? I’m from the South, so we watched it every week. Do you remember the song that had the lyrics – “if it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all”? I do, Gracie thinks I’m funny when I’m singing those songs from Hee Haw.
I’m back on steroids, that’s my bad luck. Oh my! They make me SO hot and HUNGRY. I mean really hungry. Who did I turn to? Lesley Weiss Zwick, my certified health coach. She can help just by answering my questions. I mean, I immediately calm down. She knows exactly what to tell me to do. I’m on those steroids a lot because of my arthritis but this time it is because of migraines. Please don’t feel sorry for me on either count. I’m taking control of both situations. I’m losing the weight to help with the arthritis and I’ve found a coping measure to help with the migraine. Mercy, I can get through anything.
If I had been on a “change of life” or weight loss journey alone, without my coach, I would have given up. There would have been so many times since the beginning of the year that I would have given up without Lesley. It is always great to have someone to turn as a sounding board and for suggestions and help. Lesley always gives me encouragement and tells me what foods to add to help me get through the steroid dose pack, or whatever else I’m going through.
I’m being honest. If I had said that I wanted a Sonic Cheeseburger last night, Michael would have went and gotten it for me. Gracie would have made me popcorn, with butter, while we were watching Grey’s Anatomy. Oh, and Grey’s Anatomy was SO good last night. I’m SO glad that Maggie and Jackson are to try to go out. Don’t get me started on Grey’s Anatomy or this will turn into a Grey’s post. Thursdays is a girl’s night for Gracie and I.
My family supports me in anything I do. Although, if I decide to stop, they will stop supporting me and supplying me with the “goods”. Contacting Lesley, gives me someone that I know will give me the correct encouragement. Then I can tell Michael when I’m feeling like “Sonya Downer” and he wants to get me a Sonic Cheeseburger, I’ve got it under control. Now, he makes me some boiled eggs.
Just an update, I haven’t given one in awhile. I was down 19 pounds and had lost 16.5 inches last week. This week, because steroids kind of BLOW me up, I gained some. I gained back 2.1 pounds but I lost an inch. I had to pry my wedding rings off this morning though. I started this journey on 12-30-17. I’m so glad that I started it too. I have sold 4 pairs of my BKE and Daytrip jeans this week. I was tired of a droopy behind. I’m in some old jeans that I had saved. It’s made me SO happy!
If you would like to start a weight loss journey like I have, you can’t go wrong if you contact Lesley. If you’d like me to contact her for you, I’d love to do it (email@example.com)! What’s stopping you? Don’t let the past dictate your future! Contact US!
